Can I camp anywhere in Finland?

The answer

No, not anywhere, but short stays are generally allowed. The Ministry of the Environment's booklet says camping for a weekend or a similarly short period is covered, as long as it causes no damage or disturbance and stays away from homes. For a longer stay you should consult the landowner. Yards, public beaches, protected areas and national parks can restrict camping, so check local rules and use designated sites where they are provided.
